Which standard profiles do you extrude?
Standard sections serve general construction and fabrication work:
- Tube: round and similar closed sections
- Box: square and rectangular hollow sections
- Angle (L), channel (U), tee (T): open sections
- Flat bar: plain strip
For size and wall-thickness combinations use the quote request form. If the section you need is not listed, see custom aluminium extrusion.
What surface finishes are available?
Profiles ship mill finish or electrostatically powder coated. The coating line has a capacity of 450 tonnes per month. See Facility and capacity.
How are alloy and tolerances set?
Alloy and temper are chosen for the application; the alloy overview is on custom aluminium extrusion and the tolerance approach on Quality and sustainability. For a view by market, see Industries.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a standard and a custom profile?
A standard profile is a section with a defined shape, such as tube, box, angle, channel, tee or flat bar. For a custom profile you define the cross-section and a die is made for it.
How do I get the product list?
Use the quote request form or write to sales@solidgroupmetal.com and tell us the sections you are looking for.
Can I order the profiles powder coated?
Yes. Powder-coated delivery comes from our electrostatic powder coating line. Colour and gloss are specified per order.
